As fall officially begins, many tend to look back on summer and the adventures along with it. In the Unionville area, for some, summer may consist of trips to the Jersey Shore or Delaware Beaches, but for many, the Brandywine Creek encapsulates everything the season has to offer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

From kayaking to tubing, the Brandywine acts as an escape for people of all ages, but especially the area\u2019s youth. Aside from frequenting fast food establishments and the occasional Target trips, there are limited places in the Unionville Chadds-Ford area for kids to hang out, but the Brandywine acts as a great meeting place.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

With college application deadlines approaching along with managing extracurriculars and school work, the creek has become the perfect place for me and my friends to unwind. Being able to forget about the exciting yet stressful time we\u2019re in allows us to harness our attention on the present. By focusing on what is quite directly in front of me when my friends and I are at the Brandywine, I have found a sense of peace during this time of change.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Although the Brandywine appears uninhibited in the fall compared to its summer popularity, the creek remains an integral part of the local community. Since the Brandywine runs expansively throughout the community, its vast shoreline also makes for quite the picturesque destination regardless of its plethora of water sports.\u00a0 The Brandywine acts as an escape for those trying to get away from fast-moving society and briefly focus on the beauty of nature.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

While the school year gets back into full swing, Brandywine Creek completes its yearly transition from an upbeat, summer hotspot to a tranquil, fall escape. As the seasons change and our fast-paced world evolves, we hold onto the keystone parts of our area that make our community so special.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
