Autumn’s Colors

This fall, nature picks up her brush and paints the landscape in breathtaking hues, while masters of their craft create works that beautifully illustrate all of who we are.

Immerse yourself in the beauty of our Flower Garden Walk, the horticultural gems in the Hillside Garden, the broad sweeps of golden blooms in the Meadow Garden, and the bounty of our Ornamental Kitchen Garden. Our artists and scientists stretch their horticultural limits with Chrysanthemum Festival, opening October 24.

Jerrell Gibbs: No Solace in the Shade

“Jerrell Gibbs: No Solace in the Shade” surveys the first decade of contemporary Baltimore artist Jerrell Gibbs’s (b. 1988) career and marks his first one-person Museum exhibition. A painter with astonishing creativity, Gibbs’s dynamic, large-scale figurative paintings explore facets of Black life, including family, friends, and community.

Brandywine Valley Symphony

Enjoy an afternoon of Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings in a relaxed setting with light appetizers and drinks. Michael guides you with stories, visuals, and musical examples that pull back the curtain and make the music come alive. Tickets include hors d’oeuvres and one beer, wine, or other beverage, with a cash bar available.

Craftapalooza

Chester County Art Association

At Craftapalooza, each child – age 5 to 14 — will have the opportunity to make three age-appropriate projects that can be used as holiday decorations or gifts for that someone special in their life. The only special skill required of participants is the willingness to try something new. Professional artists will lead each activity, which includes painting, drawing, crafting, and generally having a good time.

Morning Session: 9 am – 12 pm

Afternoon Session: 1 – 4 pm
